There is something incredibly soothing about watching a diya burn, at times flickering, almost in the danger of being snuffed out and then when everything around seems to be gradually enveloped in gloom, it crackles back to life, vigorously, stronger than before, devour the darkness it does, a single wick, brighten the room it does...
