"Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be killed... Every morning a lion wakes up. It knows it must outrun the slowest gazelle or it will starve to death. It doesn't matter whether you are a lion or a gazelle... When the sun comes up, You'd better be running." - unknown

Somewhere in this race, we have lost touch with peace, with brotherhood, with ourselves.

As if we had not had enough
We have SARS

Taking a cue from 'Chicago'
"Ladies and Gentlemen, prezzzzenting the hottest and latest in viruses - SARS"

No thundering applause for this one, I'm afraid

Coincidence is when you listen to this relatively old song for the first time,
you are surprised you had never heard it before, you simply love it, and the very same day it comes on TV

Days pass by so fast.
You realise that when the free evaluation software you had downloaded just-the-other-day suddenly pops up this message saying
"Your 30 days evaluation period is over. Press such-and-such link to purchase the software"

We had this real great "East meets West" fusion of Rebel Heart (The Corrs)
on our office annual day recently.

My version of East meets West:
Enrique Iglesias in the cubicle diagonally opposite mine
tries to drown Metallica/ Red Hot Chili Peppers (not sure :) )
played by another colleague.
All this while I am trying to listen to Jagjit Singh crooning
"Hoshwalon ko...."

Ever had this feeling of ethereal triumph
Of having fifty people eyeing you with jealousy
Of being the Chosen One

Of being the last person to cross the road nanoseconds before the signal turns red :))

All the world’s a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts . . .
- Shakespeare

I wonder who wrote the playscript
For the believers it is God
But for the atheists?

Cliched but true, dedicated to all my friends, new and old

"Life is a series of meetings and partings
We meet to create memories and part to preserve them"

***************************

Are we going to be friends forever? Asked Piglet. Even longer, Pooh answered.
--A. A. Milne in Winnie the Pooh

(Does this sound familiar - Vinaya, Sheetal, Rohan, Harsh and Mehul ?)
